Product discovery startup Roposo, a mobile app-only platform, has raised $5 million (Rs 30 crore) in Series A funding led by Tiger Global. Previous investors, Indian Quotient and Binny Bansal (co-founder of Flipkart), also participated in the round.

Founded by Avinash Saxena, Mayanak Bhangadia and Kaushal Shubhank in May 2014, Roposo is a Gurgaon based startup that curates and recommends products to each user as per their taste. According to Saxena, the funding will be used to further enhance technology and hire new people.

“We are a search engine for women’s fashion and trends. It took us two-and-a-half-years to complete the product. We try to understand each user and their choice in a great depth, and as a result our app shows all the recent trends based on a user’s preference,” said Avinash Saxena, co-founder, Roposo.
