Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid his tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary.

“Tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his Punya Tithi. We remember his contribution as a freedom fighter and as our first Prime Minister,” the Prime Minister said.

Jawaharlal Nehru was born on November 14, 1889 in Allahabad and died on May 27, 1964.
