Paytm launches programmes in 6 regional languages; Hindi app users 30%

Paytm, a mobile payment and commerce platform with around 125 million transactions of various digital and physical goods every month, has launched a series of consolidated programmes, such as cataloguing services, financing opportunities, packaging material and documentation among others.

Paytm, a mobile payment and commerce platform with around 125 million transactions of various digital and physical goods every month, has launched a series of consolidated programmes, such as cataloguing services, financing opportunities, packaging material and documentation among others.

Paytm the marketplace that has all tools interface available in Hindi will be launching 6 more regional language. Currently, 30% of all Paytm seller app users are already using the Hindi language interface.

The seller app has over 40,000 monthly active users from across 50 cities.

With tie ups of close to 10 Non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), Paytm has also been providing short-term loans and working capital loans to sellers.

Enthused about the seller growth story lead by Paytm, Sudhanshu Gupta, Vice President – Paytm, said “We are investing extensively in creating and enabling an ecosystem of services and service providers for sellers across the country. The scope of the ecosystem of services begins from enabling sellers in being able to source the right kind of products to doing more sustainable profitable business.”
