Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has revealed why he is so confident about the success of his grand start-up Jio 4G. In an interview with Hindi Daily Dainik Bhaskar, Ambani said Jio is prepared for all eventualities and there is no such network in the country working like his start-up.
In this age of rapid technological development, any company can start services like Jio. However, Ambani denied there would be any challenge to Jio. He said, “Such things (challenges) are always considered in the technology business. Our basic strength is our technology and infrastructure. Jio is a completely 4G network and also one of the most advanced in the world. Jio 4G can be upgraded to 5G and 6G technologies. There are no other networks in the country performing like Jio.”
Ambani also talked about the inter-connectivity problem and Jio’s tussle with other dominant networks like the Airtel and Vodafone. “Such problems also come during the beginning of anything. Dhirubhai (his father) had an interesting viewpoint on this. He used to say that people trying to get a seat in the local trains of Mumbai also have to face the opposition from those already sitting from before. But if you have a goal, you would be successful in getting a seat on the train. This philosophy remains our governing line in many matters.”
After the launch of Jio, several complaints have been made by users about the dipping speed of the network. However, Ambani said his aim is to reach to all Indians first. “Speed is not the issue. The issue is what our service is doing for you.”
Ambani shared that the ongoing mobile internet revolution in the would bring such changes in the next 30 years that have never happened in the last 300 years. “Mobile internet revolution is the biggest revolution since the industrial revolution. In the next 30 years, the world would see changes that have never been seen in the last 300 years. Jio would give us better control over our lives.”
He also said that the next 10-15 years are the “golden years” for the youths in the country. He suggested the budding entrepreneurs to always make business strategies while keeping the interests of customers in mind and do everything to get to their goals.
