Bengaluru-based mobile payment app Momoe has entered the transport segment by partnering with more than 1,000 auto drivers to offer cashless payment as an option to commuters. All that the commuters have to do is enter the driver’s mobile number and the auto fare in the app to pay for their ride.

Momoe has partnered with over 1,000 auto drivers, most of them belonging to unions like Namma Auto, Peace Auto and Nava Karnataka Autos. “We have approached around 30-40 auto drivers from random auto stands in the city, one of them who belonged to a union suggested the idea of apporaching these unions to scale faster,” Utkarsh Biradar, co founder of Momoe told FE.
