Mindshare retains Media Agency of the Year title at Emvies 2016

GroupM’s Mindshare bagged the Media Agency of the Year award at the Emvies 2016 for the second consecutive year, with a tally of one Grand Emvie, eight gold, 18 silver and 15 bronze, adding to a total of 395 points.

GroupM’s Mindshare bagged the Media Agency of the Year award at the Emvies 2016 for the second consecutive year, with a tally of one Grand Emvie, eight gold, 18 silver and 15 bronze, adding to a total of 395 points.

Brooke Bond Red Label’s 6 Pack Band for Hindustan Unilever went on to win the maximum metals for Mindshare.

Commenting on the win, CVL Srinivas, CEO, GroupM South Asia said, “GroupM agencies have had a dream run at the Emvies this year. I must congratulate our clients who push us to keep raising the bar year after year. Clients who believe in innovation and back our teams to take risks are the ones who win and in turn help us win.”

There was big gap between rank one and two, with Lodestar UM coming in at second spot with six gold, three silver and three bronze, with 135 points. At third place was Maxus with four gold, five silver and five bronze at 135 points. Next in line was Madison Media, with two gold, two silver and five bronze awards.

The year-old agency Social Street was a new entrant at the seventh spot, winning two silver and three bronze, adding to 35 points.

The Media Client of the Year was won by Hindustan Unilever, which bagged seven gold, 15 silver and 11 bronze awards, adding to 310 points. It was followed by PepsiCo India which got one Grand Emvie, one gold, two silver and four bronze metals, scoring 75 points. Procter & Gamble came third, winning with one gold, three silver and two bronze, adding to a total of 55 points. Door Step School came fourth winning three gold and getting
45 points.
