GroupM India’s media agency brand Mindshare scooped the most number of medals at Goafest 2015 ad awards with a tally of 11 medals. Its tally was followed by Madison which won itself 10 medals. Lodestar Universal Media (UM) and Maxus scooped up nine medals each.
Pratap Bose, president of the Advertising Club Bombay and chairman of the Awards Governing Council, Goafest, who chaired the media jury, said that there were four days of judging and as many as 70 media professionals were involved in the process of judging.
“We had 674 entries in total in the media category as compared to 619 entries last year. This is a 15% increase in entries,” Said Bose.
In the publisher category, the big winners were The Times Of India, Mumbai Mirror and Dainik Jagran. The Mumbai Mirror ‘I am Mumbai’ won gold in the ‘Statement of Best Marketing of a Printed newspaper’ category while Maharashtra Times won bronze in the same category for the ‘Maharastra Times Culture Club’. The Times of India ‘Happy Streets’ entry won gold in the ‘Best Publishing brand activation’ category.
