Maggi noodles is back in Indian markets, both online and offline and surprisingly, Nestle India has offered the tasty treat via a ‘flash sale’ on e-commerce platform Snapdeal.
The online sale registration for the popular Maggi noodles has already begun and customers can register themselves till November 11 (open till 11 pm). The flash sale would begin on November 12 noon where a packet of 12 Maggi noodles can be bought for Rs 144.
In a press note released by the company on Monday, Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and MD of Nestlé India said, “The return of Maggi Noodles on the auspicious eve of Deepawali and on the day of Dhanteras is a moment of celebration for all of us!”
Maggi was banned after it was allegedly found to have lead content beyond permissible limits. The instant noodle is however back on retail shelves in select markets from Monday, five months after it was banned for allegedly containing lead beyond the permissible limit.
Nestle India, which sells the Maggi brand, is rolling out the product in a staggered manner across the country, except in eight states where it is still not allowed.
