LuLu Group forays into hospitality segment

Twenty14 Holdings is currently in talks with Marriott to rebrand the property as Kochi’s first Fairfield by Marriott hotel.

Twenty14 Holdings, the hospitality investment arm of LuLu Group International, the hyper market retail chain promoted by West Asia-based billionaire NRI M A Yusuff Ali, on Monday announced the acquisition of its first property in India — the Abad Airport Hotel Kochi.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition also marks Twenty14 Holdings’ entry into the mid-scale hotel segment.

This comes closely on the heels of the opening of its first property in Dubai, recently, said a release from the Lulu group. The 54-room Abad Airport Hotel Kochi is located near the Cochin International Airport.
