The not so good news is that the speed of India’s investment recovery moderated in the quarter ended September 2015, after seeing an upward trend since mid-2014. Data from the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) says incremental investment was flat q-o-q as private sector investment declined, particularly in the metals sector.

The silver lining here is that government-led investment remained strong and new project announcements, which have a positive correlation with future investment, rose for the fifth consecutive quarter.
