Google Assistant on Monday replaced its old scrolling-through (feature) with new search bar. Google Assistant received a new update that enables users to search through a search bar within the app, IANS reported. Android Police reported that new search list can be checked by tapping the blue icon on the top right, as well as by browsing in the Google Home app. The new feature lets you search through all the possible Assistant integrations, it said. A user, after tapping the top right blue icon to bring up that list, can use the search bar to find several first and third-party integrations that are available. Earlier, Google had last month announced that the standalone assistant app would be rolling out for iOS devices in the UK, Germany and France. Some reports had said that users were facing issues to assign Google Assistant to the Home button in order to replace Siri.
However, they could easily add Google Assistant widget. Google also offers an Assistant widget that can be accessed from the widget panel of Apple’s notification centre. It works as a next best option for having Assistant available from anywhere in iOS. Google had claimed that its voice-powered digital assistant is available on more than 100 million devices.
