1. The job

The funny fact is that everybody thinks I have a great job which is only about watching content and entertaining people through the programming that we offer. But that is not entirely true. I love the challenge it offers every day. My job proves that every day is totally different and that there’s always a new thing to learn every day.  Being from a financial background, my friends believe I do not have to deal with numbers and analytics and it’s more about entertainment, content, celebrities and travelling to various cities. This is not completely true. I am still stuck with numbers but I wear both quantitative and qualitative lenses now. I have been lucky to have great bosses but am not sure if the people working with me also feel the same. We work in a great culture of empowerment and the role we play is very entrepreneurial. This also empowers us, makes our daily job exciting and makes each one of us feel more responsible.

2. The weekdays

I lay emphasis on planning and organising myself well. A lot of time then goes in executing what I have planned. I am very fortunate to have a great team. We spend a lot of time in planning ahead. This helps us in staying ahead of competition. What you measure is what you get.

3. The weekend

My weekends are usually busier than the weekdays. I have a five-year-old daughter and she is a very demanding boss. I don’t have the power of delegation in dealing with her. When time is left, I try to socialise and connect with friends or we go out. Thanks to my great team, I unwind more on a weekday than a weekend.

4. The toys

My constant company and my best friend is my mobile phone. Be it responding to my work emails or connecting with my daughter and friends over random messages and calls through the day, my phone always keeps my hands busy.

5.  The logos

I love brands which wear an attitude about themselves. My favourite brands are: Nike—I love the cool colours/smart outfits that it creates for people on the run; Sony—I love the brand right from the Experia handset to the Bravia television series; Audi—I love driving this car. It is a young, cool brand. Magnum/Lindt chocolates—I have a sweet tooth and I absolutely love these. Mont Blanc pens are a class apart. I am an ardent fan and collector.
