'I love the challenge that my job has to offer every day.'‘I love the challenge that my job has to offer every day.’

After hours with Manish Sharma, President CEAMA and MD, Panasonic India and South Asia

1.I love the challenge that my job has to offer every day.

It puts me in an ideal position to be more creative, innovative and take challenges head on. There is nothing I hate about my job, really.

2.I start my day pretty early with some regular ‘keep-me-fit’ exercises. My day begins at 7am with a business call to my colleagues in the global team in Japan. I am usually in office by 9:30am and dedicate the first half of my day to meeting heads of the marketing and product teams, while afternoons are mostly dedicated to meetings with partners and other stakeholders. In the evenings, my days are occupied by either brainstorming sessions or scrutinising projects and assignments. Most importantly, I try not to carry my work back home.

3. On weekends, my time is taken up by the family. I catch up on lost sleep. Apart from that, I like to go for outings, movies and shopping with my wife and kids. I also indulge in my favourite hobby of collecting antiques, especially antique coins. Coins from the Mughal era are among my prized possessions.

4. Technology has become a survival mechanism for enhancing effectiveness and productivity. It has become extremely easy to manage travel and work together. One gadget that I can’t live without is my Panasonic Eluga X smartphone. I also try my photography skills on Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-G3.

5. My personal favourite is the Omega constellation watch. I always carry a Mont Blanc with me.
