Hero MotoCorp is keeping a set of service bikes at the dealerships that will be given to the customers as replacement till their two-wheelers are serviced in case of a breakdown so that their life is not disrupted.
In a first of its kind offering in the two-wheeler market, Hero MotoCorp is going a step ahead to reward its customers who come to the dealerships to get their vehicles serviced. The company is keeping a set of service bikes at the dealerships that will be given to the customers as replacement till their two-wheelers are serviced in case of a breakdown so that their life is not disrupted.
This is a practice used by consumer durable company Whirpool, which offers replacement for air-conditioners in case of AC breakdown.
Ashok Bhasin, head sales, marketing and customer care, Hero MotoCorp, said that the company has introduced this service in all dealerships across the nation. “This industry needs to be a lot more customer centric,” says Bhasin.
“We want to take the customer experience to the next level,” he said. The company has started this customer initiative and has started giving service customer care bikes to dealers so that the customers have access to a replacement when their bikes breakdown,” he said.
With the company having sold 64 million bikes till date, the the servicing market is likely to be a big pie.
According to Bhasin, the company has made a small beginning, which is logical. “We see this as a way to take care of our customers,” he said. The company interacts with customers throughhas 6,300 network points across the country and around a thousand dealerships.
