Freshdesk open to further buyouts

Freshdesk, the Chennai based software as a service (SaaS) company which made five acquisitions between August, 2015 and April, 2016 is open to further buyouts as it looks towards enhancing its technology expertise.

Freshdesk CEO Girish Mathrubootham told FE, “We will continue to look at opportunities that are available and look at companies which have good teams and technology.” The SaaS company made a series of acquisitions starting from in August, 2015 and the last one till now was Airwoot in April, 2016.

Mathrubootham said that revenue contribution from these acquisitions has been very negligible for Freshdesk but they came with great teams and technology. Freshdesk which launched its operations in October, 2010 has preferred companies which would integrate with its team based in Chennai but they are open to opportunities outside India also.

The companies acquired by Freshdesk till now are all India based ones from locations such as Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai.

Technology employed by the acquired companies has been used to enhance the capability of Freshdesk’s products which are delivered through a cloud framework to improve customer service.
