Uber was fined 800,000 euros (USD 900,000) in France today, half of which was suspended, over its UberPOP ride-sharing service.

Two of UberPOP’s senior executives in Western Europe were also fined 30,000 euros and 20,000 euros, with half of those sums also suspended.
