Online design and décor platform Livspace has brought former Google and Facebook veteran Gokul Rajaram as a special advisor. Rajaram has invested an undisclosed amount in the firm.
In his new role, Rajaram will work on technology and product strategy across Livspace’s mobile and web platforms. He has earlier worked with Facebook on its advertising products and was product management director at Google AdSense.
“For early stage companies, the calibre of the team is the single biggest factor correlated with success. What stood out for me about the founding team of Livspace is their ability to create a compelling long-term vision, to hire the best talent, and to build a remarkable and differentiated first product that will soon become a ‘need’ for a loyal and passionate set of early customers. In addition, Livspace is addressing a huge market opportunity, making it an awesome company to be advising and investing in,” said Rajaram.
Launched in 2014 by Anuj Srivastava, Shagufta Anurag and Ramakant Sharma, Livspace raised $4.6 million in its series A funding round led by Helion Venture Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners in December last year.
