eMart Solutions, a leading loyalty company, focussed on providing customer engagement solutions to various multinational and Fortune 500 brands, today announced the appointment of Birendra Kumar as VP Technology and Sooraj Keswani as VP Consulting.
Birendra will lead the Product Engineering function, called FirstHive, for eMart Solutions, while also working with existing clients on their marketing technology requirements.
Birendra has over 17 years of experience in information technology, product development, invention and research on big data and product architecture. He has worked as a big data architect, technical project manager, software consultant and software architect in data warehousing, real-time business intelligence, and big data platform.
Speaking on his appointment, Birendra Kumar said, “With its patent pending product, FirstHive, I believe eMart Solutions is well poised to address several key challenges faced by the market today, and I am excited to be joining the company at this juncture”. His last company was Teradata, where he was the Big Data solutions architect and was working with Advanced Development research group. He has contributed to 85+ intellectual disclosure reports/ Inventions, 4 USA patent fillings, and is the author of many orange books, white papers, big data blogs, technical articles and publications in various magazines.
Birendra’s appointment comes on the heels of the appointment of Sooraj Keswani as the VP – Consulting for eMart Solutions. An expert in customer marketing, communication and a business leader, Sooraj has over 2 decades of rich and varied experience across media, technology and service industries. A keen observer of consumer behaviour, he applies his understanding to practice the science and art of consumer engagement.
Having worked with businesses and concepts ahead of their times in his career, Sooraj has successfully led initiatives across large companies and start ups to marry vision with action and deliver results. His collaborative leadership style attracts teams to work with him and achieve set goals.

He has worked with companies like The Indian Express Group, Clicktickets.com, Madison Merchandising Services, Enso Technologies and Concept Communication. In his last stint with Hansa Customer Equity, he led a very large business unit driving customer strategy (CRM) for the Mahindra & Mahindra Group apart from other clients.
