FMCG major Emami on Wednesday reported an over 24% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 138 crore for the quarter ended March, 2015, up from Rs 111 crore in the same period a year ago, buoyed by higher sales.
Net sales rose 24.22% to Rs 553.66 crore during the quarter compared to Rs 445.71 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal, according to a BSE filing. Ebidta stood at Rs 140 crore, up 18.9%. The company attributed the growth to the strong performance of the domestic business.
