Cochin International Airport Limited nets R175-crore profit in FY16

The country's first greenfield airport Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has registered a profit of R175.22 crore in last fiscal, against R524 crore turnover.

The country’s first greenfield airport Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has registered a profit of R175.22 crore in last fiscal, against R524 crore turnover. The board of directors, which met on Tuesday, has decided to pay 25% dividend to shareholders.

Kochi airport has recorded 26.71% increase in gross revenue over last fiscal, says Kerala chief minister, who’s also chairman, CIAL, at the 22nd annual general body meeting of the company. The board of directors approved the extension of the services of managing director VJ Kurien for a period of five years from June this year. T M Thomas Isaac, Mathew T Thomas and V S Sunil Kumar and chief secretary SM Vijayanand are the new directors at CIAL.
