Since Chennai airport is closed till 12 noon on December 6, Indigo said that in the interest of safety of its guests, crew and aircraft, the airline has cancelled all its flights to and from the city until December 6.
Authorities have had the Chennai airport closed for operations till December 6.
IndiGo said, keeping Chennai floods in mind, it will operate additional flights on December 4 to accommodate passengers coming from Chennai through surface transport.
These additional flights include two daily flights on Bangalore-Mumbai-Bangalore sector and one flight to Delhi from Bangalore.
IndiGo will also operate one flight from Bangalore to Hyderabad and back to accommodate the passengers, it said.
Passengers who reach Bangalore with valid tickets from Chennai, whose flights had got cancelled, will be accepted without any additional charge, change fees or cancellation fees, the airline said.
Additional flights will also enable IndiGo to transport food and other required items through cargo, it added.
