Bharti Airtel has partnered with smartphone maker Lenovo, under which the country’s largest telecom operator will offer a cashback of Rs 2,000 on two 4G smartphone variants of Motorola Mobility, which is part of the Lenovo group, and the K8 Note. Under the new offer on 4G smartphones, Bharti’s sixth so far, the company is offering a cashback of Rs 2,000 on the Moto C, Moto E4 and Lenovo K8 Note, Bharti said in an announcement on Friday. With the cashback, the effective price of the Moto C will be Rs 3,999, Moto E4 (Rs 6,499) and K8 Note (Rs 10,999). To be eligible for the cashback, customers need to make prepaid recharges worth Rs 3,500 within 18 months for the first installment of Rs 500. Similarly, another set of recharges worth Rs 3,500 over the next 18 months will make the customer eligible for the second installment of Rs 1,500.
Bharti Airtel chief marketing officer Vani Venkatesh said, “We are delighted to collaborate with Lenovo under the ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative. It marks a major milestone in our journey towards building a large open ecosystem of affordable smartphone options for our valued customers.” This is Bharti’s third such partnership with a foreign handset maker. The company has already tied-up with Samsung and Nokia on a select range of 4G smartphones.
