Taipei-based technology major BenQ’s brand ZOWIE on Tuesday announced its collaboration with eXTREMESLAND, the annual eSports event for CS:GO (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) players from the Asia-Pacific region.

“BenQ recently strengthened its dedication to eSports segment by adopting ZOWIE as the new brand for its gaming-related line after investing in the company. It will also continue to show its commitment to gamers by providing eSports athletes with premium professional gaming products via the ZOWIE identity,” the company said in a statement.

The competition will cover over 20 countries across the Asia-Pacific region where several online and offline teams are set to participate in the qualifiers from July till August.

After the qualifiers, 16 teams will battle during the “Asian Grand Final” in China for the $100,000 prize in September.

The qualifiers will be open for pro-teams from India.

The offline finals will be held in Bengaluru and top four teams from India will get a chance to battle it out in the eXTREMESLAND Asia-Pacific finals in China.
