Reserve Bank will issue Rs 5 coins to commemorate 125th birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru.
The Reserve Bank (RBI) will shortly put into circulation Rs 5 coins minted by the government to commemorate 125th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru,” RBI said in a notification today.
It said these coins are legal tender as provided in The Coinage Act 2011.
The existing coins in this denomination shall also continue to be legal tender.
Gayatri Projects wins Rs 137 cr highway scheme in Chhatisgarh
Gayatri Projects Ltd today said it has won a Rs 137 crore order from Chattisgarh government for augmenting a State Highways stretch.
The company has bagged a project for “rehabilitation and upgradation of Sigma Tilda Kharora Arang Road (SH-20)” from Project Director, Chhattisgarh Road Development Project, Public Works Department, Raipur,” it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The value of the contract is Rs 137 crore, it said.
The shares of the company were trading at Rs 148.30 apiece, down 3 per cent on the BSE at about 1.15 pm.

IT services firm Tech Mahindra has partnered with China’s Gao Feng Advisory Company to tap into multi-billion dollar opportunity in Internet of Things (IoT) and digital services market in China and other parts of the world.
Tech Mahindra and Gao Feng will work together to provide services to help clients harness forces of IoT and Embedded Internet business to achieve competitive advantage, Tech Mahindra said in a statement today.
This will encompass providing digital enterprise, smart city, connected mobility, airline safety monitoring and remote health care monitoring, among other services, it added.
20th Century Fox appoints Dream Theatre as licensing agent
Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, a division of entertainment company 21st Century Fox, today said it has appointed Dream Theatre as its new licensing agent in India.
Dream Theatre will establish and grow the licensing business for Fox Consumer Products’ portfolio of TV and film brands including The Simpsons, Family Guy, Sons of Anarchy, Ice Age, Rio, and Avatar among others, Dream Theatre said in a statement.
It will also place all Fox Consumer Products brands in the Indian market with a focus on franchise building and retail expansion.
Vinod Teli appointed Kelvin Cold Chain CEO
Private equity fund Ambit Pragma today said it has appointed Vinod Teli as the chief executive for Kelvin Cold Chain Logistics, in which it holds a controlling stake.
Ambit Pragma, the private equity arm of boutique investment bank Ambit Holdings, had acquired a controlling stake in the company over two years ago.
Teli joins the company from another logistics player, D B Schenker, where he was heading the national distribution business, a statement from Ambit said.
He has an experience of over 20 years and has worked in various segments, including 3PL, international freight forwarding and public transport, it said.
Unicef-CII signs MoU for CSR hub
In an attempt to sensitise industries located in the eastern region about their commitment toward the society for long-term business benefits, CII (east) exchanged an MoU with UNICEF to set up a CSR Hub in city.
UNICEF India chief (Chief Resource Mobilisation) Christine Edier Rivera and CII east chairman Viresh Oberoi signed the agreement.
The Hub would be a knowledge center of CSR related information, serve as a think-tank and play an advocacy and advisory role for CSR activities in the region, a statement said here today.
