Government to announce more tranches of gold bonds: RBI

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday said the total subscription denominated in units of gold for the first tranche of sovereign gold bonds stood at 9,15,953 grams amounting to Rs 246 crore.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Tuesday said the total subscription denominated in units of gold for the first tranche of sovereign gold bonds stood at 9,15,953 grams amounting to Rs 246 crore.

The central bank also said that further tranches of sovereign gold bonds will be announced in due course by the government.

The top ten receiving offices in terms of subscription amount were HDFC Bank , ICICI Bank, YES Bank, Allahabad Bank, Bank of India, Andhra Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, DCB Bank, State Bank of India and Federal Bank, RBI indicated.
