After gains for two months, the growth of first-year premium of life insurers slowed in November, raising concerns on the momentum of the recovery.

After gains for two months, the growth of first-year premium of life insurers slowed in November, raising concerns on the momentum of the recovery. While the annualised premium growth of private insurers was 6% y-o-y in the month, the industry grew 3% on the back of just 1% growth for LIC. For the industry, the second half of the financial year drives over 60% of the annual business. Segment-wise, LIC continues to have high share of single premium of the total premium.
