American Express card members planning to upgrade to Apple products can now do so without paying for it, by just redeeming their membership reward points at Apple Premium Reseller stores. Card members can also shop for apparel or dine at their favorite restaurants in Cyber Hub (Gurgaon) without paying anything, as American Express, the world’s largest card issuer by purchase volume, announced a new initiative enabling Cardmembers to ‘Pay with Points’ for their shopping and dining experience.

Designed to offer greater flexibility and choice, the new ‘Pay with Points’ initiative from American Express allows card members to enjoy real-time membership rewards redemption at the point of sale at over 750 leading retail and dining outlets. With merchant partners like Apple Premium Reseller stores, Bose, Croma, Reliance Digital, Shoppers’ Stop, Armani Jeans, Marks & Spencer, and several dining outlets at Cyber Hub (Gurgaon).

This new initiative offers a simple and flexible way to instantly redeem their points. The card members need to notify the cashier at the end of their shopping or dining experience about their intent to use their points for all or part of their purchase.

The ‘Pay with Points’ solution is being offered through a unique partnership with Pine Labs, one of the leading provider of payment, loyalty and payment automation systems in India, and is being rolled out over a unique technology that makes the entire process from contract signing to fully functional POS devices at merchant locations across the whole of India a seamless and quick process.
