Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) India’s largest utility vehicle manufacturer on Thursday made an exhibition of the entire range future and current products in the commercial and utility vehicle segments thorough which the company is aiming to double it is market share in the heavy vehicle segment and maintain the its lead over other in the utility vehicle segment in he next two years.
As past of showcasing its products in Auto Expo 2016 the Anand Mahindra led company showed a new coupe concept of the company know as the XUV Aero. M&M’s South Korean subsidiary Ssangyong’s popular compact SUV, Tivoli was also shown and the vehicle is expected to hit the Indian streets with in the next two years. Tivoli is the first product launched by the South Korean company after the it was acquired by M&M in 2011.
Anand Mahindra M&M’s group chairman said that, the company is proud of XUV Aero concept which represents a paradigm shift in the company’s design philosophy.
“Mahindra is constantly striving to push the boundaries and of technology and innovation while developing new mobility solutions from the rapidly developing world,”added Mahindra.
Besides the utility vehicles the company also announced plans to expand its market share from the 6% market share it commands recently. As part of the plan the Mumbai based automobile manufacturer displayed its Blazo range of heavy trucks. The company claims that the mileage of the Blazo range of trucks is better than the rest of the peers.
In the electric car vehicle segment M&M showcased the Electric Verito, E-Maxximo and the eight seater Supro Electric Van.
“Our product offerings in the Auto Expo reflects a true sense of the Make in India philosophy and also suitable to the global mobility solutions.
The company also showcased the Mahindra Design Studio which is created to make customers understand how the company designs the vehicles.
