Available in both single and double cabin options, the Imperio aims to attract business owners looking for a small commercial vehicle (SCV).
Mahindra & Mahindra on Wednesday launched the Imperio pickup in the price range of Rs 6.25 lakh – Rs 7.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Thane). Available in both single and double cabin options, the Imperio aims to attract business owners looking for a small commercial vehicle (SCV). The new SCV is basically a slightly more-upmarket and facelifted Geneio with a new name.
The Mahindra Imperio gets a newly designed grille, new headlamp cluster, re-designed bumper, wider air dam and round-shaped fog lights. Similar to the exterior, the vehicle’s interior have gone through some changes with an all-new dashboard, Mahindra’s new signature 3-spoke steering wheel and few other changes. With all the aforementioned features, the Imperio certainly is a better product than the Genio.
Pravin Shah, president and chief executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra said: “In keeping with our endeavour of offering first of its kind products, we have launched the Imperio today which lays a strong foundation for an entirely new generation of pickups. Being a market leader in the segment, we have identified gaps to further consolidate our presence in the SCV segment,”
“A result of extensive consumer insights, the Imperio reflects the changing aspirations of a commercial vehicle buyer. A true Make in India vehicle, I am confident that the product will be a game changer and go a long way in helping our customers.”, he added.
Though the Mahindra Imperio has replaced the Genio in the Indian market, the company will continue to export the latter to international markets.
