Audi India launched on Thursday the face lifted quarter three.

The price range starts at Rs 28.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

The car has four variants and comes with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed S-tronic automatic gearbox.

Power is derived from a 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder TDI diesel, which was also available in the old model.

The engine is capable of churning out 177 BHP at 4,200 rpm.

In terms of pulling capacity, the car can churn out 380 Nm of torque.

The new car comes with an all new LED lamp cluster with integrated dynamic turn signals.

Talking at the launch, Audi India head Joe King said, “It is no secret that the Audi Q3 is one of the most popular models in our product portfolio. The car has been a winner ever since its launch and still excites the young achievers. However, Audi believes in constant innovation and improvements and we are happy to bring the new Audi Q3

to our Audi enthusiast.”

According to King, the sale of the Q3 will be limited only by the production line that Audi has in India.

The new Q3’s manual transmission production is all set to be doubled after this launch. He hinted that Audi is looking to invest more in India and will be making some announcements in a couple of months.

When pressed, he talked about things like improving manpower, dealer networks without going into specifics.

He also talked about partnerships with technical colleges to have specific Audi curriculum.

Exports from India may be a part of Audi’s long term plan but it is not expected any time soon.

This was Audi’s fifth launch of the year.

The company is targeting ten launches this year.

Talking of the cars which can be expected this year King said, “Another Q may be added to the family soon.”

When asked about Mercedes and the competition they pose for Audi, he talked about Audi being in a marathon in India and not being bothered by a competitor on a single month’s sale.
