The annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, like this oasis of luxury and oppulence, has two sides to it: one that looks at technology for today and another that has its eyes set on tomorrow. The Saygus V2 (pronounced V square) and the Mercedes Benz F015 fit into these two categories respectively.
The Saygus V2 is the phone all of us need today, now. Created by Saygus, a mobile design company based in Salt Lake City, Utah and manufactured like most other smartphones in China, this one aspired to be a super smartphones. To start with the phone has a 5-inch Full HD borderless sunlight viewable screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has 3GB of RAM. But the really interesting feature is that it has 64GB of internal memory along with an unprecedented 256GB expandable storage capability. That is double what the best phones are offering at the moment.

Meanwhile, though the Mercedes Benz F015 might have already secured permits to drive on its own in the US state of Nevada, it is clearly a car of the future. Or as Mercedes puts it, Luxury in Motion. You don’t need to drive the car, as the technology in it, can do it for you. That does not mean the car can’t be driven manually, but it also means the car could completely revolutionise the way we sit and spend time in a vehicle.
Powered by a mix of high performance batteries and hydrogen cells, the F015’s hybrid system promises a range of up to 1,100 km. Like other cars from the auto giant, the F015 will have a body shell structure that promises impact protection while providing space for the concept door and face-to-face communication oriented seating.
