On Thursday, Audi India launched the ‘Design Editions’ of its most popular big cars—the A6 business sedan and the Q7 sport utility vehicle. The A6 Design Edition, priced Rs 56.78 lakh, gets new features including Audi Smartphone Interface, rear-seat entertainment for both travellers, door puddle projection lamps with Audi logo at the front and rear, and 19-inch aluminium alloy wheels. It also gets Audi Matrix LED headlights.
The Q7 Design Edition gets features including Audi Smartphone Interface, full paint finish with smoked tail-lamps, running boards, exhaust trims in gloss black, and 20-inch aluminium alloy wheels. It also gets door puddle projection lamps with Audi logo at the front and quattro logo at the rear. It’s priced Rs 81.99 lakh. “The A6 has been one of our most popular sedans not only in India, but globally too. And we have been at the forefront of creating the luxury SUV segment in India and the Q7 has been the model that set the ball rolling for us. As we are celebrating 10 years of Audi in India, we are launching the A6 and Q7 Design Editions to commemorate the success of these models … I am confident these cars will appeal to India’s best,” said Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi India.

The A6 is powered by the 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that generates a peak power of 190hp (140kW). It rides on adaptive air suspension for increased in-cabin comfort. The Q7 has a bigger 3.0-litre TDI diesel engine that churns out 249hp (183kW) of power and 600Nm of torque, accelerating this big and heavy SUV from 0-100kph in a mere 7.1 seconds, with a top speed of 234kph. The Q7 gets the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.
