Faced with complaints on social media by residents of its Saphhire housing society in Noida that directly targetted cricketing icon M S Dhoni, realty firm Amrapali on Monday said its projects have been delayed due to lack of funds and slowdown in property market but the company has now ordered all its projects be completed quickly.

Amrapali Chairman and Managing Director said the company has always lived up to the expectation of its customers and would fulfill all commitments in future.

The complaints from the residents of Amrapali’s Saphhire project in Noida had gone viral on Twitter over the past few days after they tagged Indian cricket team captain M S Dhoni in their tweets asking the cricketer to dis-associate himself from the builder or force the company to ensure completion of pending work.

Dhoni, who is the company’s brand ambassador, had said that he will take up the matter with the builder and it must deliver on its promises.

“It’s really sad that construction work of all the reputed developers in the Noida region has been affected in last 3-4 years due to slow market, lack of funds and some other reasons which were beyond our control. We have also been affected and our projects are also delayed,” Sharma said in a statement.

“However, now situations are improving. Amrapali group has put an all efforts to speed up the construction works in all projects,” he added.

Talking about Amrapali Sapphire project, Sharma said that only 4-5 per cent work is pending, which will be completed in the next 2-3 months.

The registration process will also start in this project soon, he added.
Residents of Amrapali Sapphire have complained that the civil and electrical work in many towers has not been completed.
