Yogi Adityanath’s elevation to the position of chief minister is going some heart burns. Adityanath was the chairman of the Parliamentary joint committee on salaries and allowances. According to the Indian Express, Adityanath’s absence from the panel is causing a lot of pain to the people who were expecting their salaries to be revised. It was the panel that was working on salaries of MP’s in line with proposals of the Seventh Pay Commission. But now that he has been elevated to the position of chief minister with other pressing issues, the work of the committee is in the background and suffering.
There are many employees who are attached to the MPs would have also benefited from proposal for salary hike.It may be recalled that the parliamentary panel was looking into the issue of salary and allowances of MPs revisited a number of recommendations and on salary hikes and allowances and was supposed to submit its recommendations.
Yogi Adityanath, had said that the panel is yet to submit its report and no decision has been taken so far. He was still to give a final decision.
