Prior to that, we had seen cases of riots taking place in the state,” ANI quoted him as telling media persons.
Touching upon the problem of land mafia in the state, the chief minister said as per the agency, “We are also planning to launch a systematic drive which will help government retrieve 1000 hectares of land which have been in the grip of land mafia since years.”
During his interaction with media persons, the chief minister said he was happy that the hard work put in by his ministers helped the people of the state gain faith in the government. “It was a priority to rid UP of jungle raj. Happy that hard work by ministers has instilled the sense of confidence in people,” he said.
Speaking about the steps that his government has taken for the welfare of farmers in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi said, “For the welfare of farmers, we started the system to provide them tube wells and solar pumps.” Praising the revenue department, the chief minister said, “If permitted to link khatian to Aadhaar there won’t be the false registry or any fraud.”
Yogi Adityanath Government had yesterday released a white paper on “failures” of the earlier SP and BSP governments in the state in last 15 years. It also touched “shortcomings” in fields of law and order, education and a number of schemes.
