Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said his government is aiming to provide 10 lakh houses in rural and 2 lakh houses in urban areas under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said his government is aiming to provide 10 lakh houses in rural and 2 lakh houses in urban areas under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. ”We are aiming to provide 10 Lakh houses in rural and 2 Lakh houses in urban areas under PM Awas Yojana,” UP CM said. Adityanath also said the state government will provide beneficiaries Rs 1.20 lakh for building houses in rural areas and Rs 12,000 for constructing toilets. ” In rural areas, Rs 1.20 Lakh will be given for houses, Rs 12,000 for toilets and Rs 15,700 extra to people who make houses by themselves,” UP CM said. The government has shortlisted 5,129 families urban areas who will get Rs. 2,50,000- Rs. 1,50,000 by Centre and Rs 1,00,000 by the state to construct houses.
While addressing a gathering in July, Adityanath had revealed the UP government’s plan to provide shelter to people of the state. He also mentioned the target will be achieved under PMAY. Adityanath said as many as 48 lakh people do not have a house to stay and the government is trying to solve this problem by building as many as 10 lakh houses within a year under PMAY. “48,00,000 people in rural UP do not have houses. We are aiming to build 10,00,000 houses there under PM Awas Yojana this year,” Yogi Adityanath was quoted as saying by ANI.
