There has been speculation for sometime now about when Priyanka Gandhi's role in the Congress party will be expanded. Priyanka has attended a high-level meeting featuring key leaders like Sheila Dikshit, according to report. The leaders deliberated on chalking out strategy for the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the report said. The party's chief ministerial face for next year's polls in politically crucial Uttar Pradesh Sheila Dikshit wants Priyanka to take the centre stage. Deepening the family turf war in the ruling Samajwadi Party, Congress wants to make the most out of it. But the party is facing a daunting task as BJP seems to be in comfortable position to become the numero uno party following the polls in the state. With the possibility of Bihar-like secular alliance, Dikshit wants to turn things around and Priyanka may play pivotal part in this mega political soap opera. But one question has arisen, whether Rahul Gandhi is losing his credibility or not? Priyanka Gandhi will be a "force multiplier" for Congress in Rahul Gandhi's "forceful" campaign in Uttar Pradesh and people will reject any attempt by BJP to use army's surgical strikes across the LoC for political gains, Congress Chief Ministerial candidate Sheila Dikshit had said. Dikshit also claimed Rahul Gandhi's Kisan Yatra was a "huge success" and if Priyanka hits the campaign trail, it will strengthen the party's position.
