Bharatiya Janata Party leader Roopa Ganguly has allegedly blamed the party for not supporting leaders when they need their help. This news came into light after a leaked Whatsapp message surfaced earlier today. The message is from a Whatsapp group that shows the conversation between Bengal BJP women. Ganguly’s message said, “amra case kagoje berolei take ochhyut kore phelle tahole r amra ek poribar ki kore holam.. sobai eka ekai judhyo kore jabo..? Keu karo pashe darabo na.? E kemon poribar.? (as soon as a case is out in the media if we ostracise the accused then how do we become one a family? Do we all have to fight our own battle and no one will stand by us? What kind of family is this?)” according to a DNA report. Earlier today, Ganguly who was charged for a molestation case of a woman in 2016 at Kakdwip in South 24 Parganas has been granted anticipatory bail by the Calcutta High Court.

In her statement to the media, Ganguly made it clear that the message was a part of conversation meant for the group and this message is not entirely true said, “There will be differences in opinion in members of a family but at the end of the day we must not forget that it is a family.”
In December 2016, Roopa Ganguly was admitted to the AMRI hospital following a blood clot that had grown in her brain tissue. According to ANI reports, she was admitted to the private hospital located at Salt Lake in Kolkata at around 4 pm due to a small haematoma in her brain. Hematoma is a swelling of clotted blood within the tissues due to either disease or trauma including injury or surgery. Besides the haematoma, she also had a mild headache and disturbance in vision.
