Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif on Thursday condemned the surgical strikes conducted bt the Indian Army across LoC and said that Pakistan's desire for peace should not be interpreted as its weakness. "We are ready for the safety and defense of our country," he told the Pakistani media. \u00a0He even called the attack as an "unprovoked and naked aggression" by Indian forces. Radio Pakistan quoted him as saying that the Indian operation led to the death of two Pakistani soldiers. He said Pakistan can "thwart any evil design made to undermine the sovereignty of Pakistan". India conducted surgical strikes on terror launch pads last night across the Line of Control (LoC) and inflicted significant casualties and heavy damages. The announcement of the sudden action by the army to target terrorists was made by the DGMO Lt Gen Ranbir Singh at a hurriedly called news conference during which External affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup was also present. Gen Singh said India shared with Pak army details of the surgical strikes which followed "very specific information" that terrorists were positioning themselves in the launch pads along the LoC.
