Salman and the team Tubelight on their respective Twitter accounts, had announced on Thursday morning about the release of the trailer. “Kar lo yakeen, #TubelightTrailer will be here tonight at 8:59 PM” (Believe, Tubelight trailer will be here tonight at 8:59 PM) posted Salman – the post from the official Twitter handle of the film read, “Yakeen aur #TubelightTrailer aayega aaj raat theek 8:59 PM ko!” Soon after the announcement, Salman’s fan had set their watch alarms for it and eagerly waited for the promised hour to come. Replying to the post of Salman, the fans had posted their reactions, which were mostly about how excited they were to see the trailer. “hume hai yakeen, can’t wait…excitemrnt at its peak” wrote a Twitter user among hundreds of others saying things along the same lines. Not disappointing them, the makers stood on their words and released the trailer as per the scheduled time.
The trailer starts by showing Salman with brother Sohail standing in a crwod of people listening to a public address. The trailer further introduces the superstar’s character with a dialogue “Mera Naam Tubelight Nahi Hain, Mera Naam Hai Laxman, Laxman Singh Bisht” (My name is not tubelight. My name is Laxman, Laxman Singh Bisht). It further introducec Sohail Khan, whose name is Bharat. He essays the role of Salman’s brother, who, according to him, is the only person who has “faith in him”.
Initially, the trailer contains some light moments but soon it turns serious showing the journey of Salman, which started with teh search for his brother, and it then encompassing a war.
