Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today survived a potential mid-air scare during an official visit. As per his schedule, the Chief Minister was on a visit to northern part of the state via a helicopter today. But everything came to halt when a bag, that was being transported with him had smoke coming out of it. Thanks to the quick thinking by his security guards, the bag from which smoke was coming out very prominently, was taken away from his helicopter.
After participating in a meeting with the farmers, the Telangana Chief Minister was on his way towards Peddapalli in a helicopter. This is when an official who was with him saw smoke coming out of his bag. This bag was a part of the luggage that was with the chief minister and his security.
Telangana DGP has said that there was no issue with the helicopter in which the CM was bound to travel. The DGP said that it was the VHS set that was being used by the police that had caught fire and led to the detection of the smoke. He said that the police personnel had removed the bag as soon as possible. It was also confirmed by the DGP that the CM K Chandrashekhar Rao and his team travelling with him are safe. In fact, a video has emerged showing the security personnel running with the bag from which the smoke was coming out.
