A hacker group called 'Legion', infamous for hacking the Twitter account of Rahul Gandhi and the Indian National Congress, on Friday hacked the account of Vijay Mallya.
A hacker group called ‘Legion’, infamous for hacking the Twitter account of Rahul Gandhi and the Indian National Congress, on Friday hacked the account of Vijay Mallya. The group took over his official Twitter handle and posted some information, which it claims belongs to the Kingfisher Chairman. It provides various links on his handle, which lead to the downloading of a .zip file. When extracted, the file shows certain documents regarding Mallya’s assets. location, even his passport among other things. Although, it must be noted that the hacker claims these to be authentic and this website takes no responsibility for the lack of it.
Meanwhile, Mallya acknowledged that his Twitter handle had been hacked and urged his followers to ignore the posts. He also said that the hacking group was trying to blackmail him, in reply to which ‘Legion’ claimed that they were innocent of blackmailing him.
The group also provided their email id, which is a very secure email provider, that provides a gateway into the world of the dark web. The group furthers said that this was just the beginning and admitted that they had plans to provide further information once their own investigation was completed. The group asked people to support them and said that they would provide the necessary information to get the “fraudster” and “conman” to bring them to justice.
