Vasant Kunj MCD Election Results 2022: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) candidate Jag Mohan Mehlawat has won Vasant Kunj seat with 8992 votes. Following him a close step, AAP’s Amarjeet managed to gather 8238 votes. It was close fight where BJP won with a margin of 754 votes. The counting of votes for Delhi MCD elections began at 8:00 am on Wednesday.
Among the key candidates in the fray include Jag Mohan Mehlawat (BJP), Naveen Kumar Yadav (Congress), Amarjeet (Aam Aadmi Party), Chhanowar Ali (Forward Bloc), Dharam Pal (Independent) and Praveen Rao (Independent). It is the first election result to be announced in Delhi after the delimitation of MCD wards following the re-unification of the three MCDs into one single entity. It is also the first election which was held after the Covid lockdown was opened across the country. There was not much turnout for voting this year in Vasant Kunj as compared to the last two civic elections. The turnout was recorded at 39.43 per cent voting in 2012, while in 2017 the voter turnout percentage was 45.18 per cent.

As per current scenario, BJP's Jag Mohan Mehlawat is ahead with 8663 votes. AAP's Amarjeet has as of now collected 7331 votes.
BJP's Jag Mohan Mehlawat is currently leading with a margin of 1694 votes against rival AAP's Amarjeet. Mehlawat has gathered 8360 votes as of now, whereas Amarjeet has managed to gather 6666 votes.
BJP's Jag Mohan Mehlawat is currently leading with margin of 604 votes against rival AAP's Amarjeet. As of now, Jag Mohan has managed to gather 4496 votes and Amarjeet has got 3892 votes.
BJP's Jag Mohan Mehlawat is leading with margin of 386 votes against rival AAP's Amarjeet. As of now, Jag Mohan has managed to gather 3212 votes and Amarjeet has got 2826 votes.
Fresh trends show AAP in the lead with 123 seats, BJP with 115 seats, Congress with 7 seats, and others with 5 seats.
AAP chief spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj exuded confidence and said that the party would emerge victorious in more than 180 seats, reported PTI. He also said that the AAP office has been decked up and as soon as the trends start changing, they would celebrate.
Latest trends show AAP in the lead in Vasant Kunj as of now. The number of seats are yet to be shown.
