Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday released a 58-page report card on the completion of six months in office. While addressing a press conference, Adityanath listed all the achievements of his government during this period which included law and order, infrastructure, farmers’ crisis and others. While the UP CM counted the developmental works in various areas, he also shared the future course of action of his government in UP. According to a report by Dainik Jagran, Adityanath during his press conference said that Uttar Pradesh will soon be flooded with jobs. “Six lakh youth got registration for employment and self-employment through different programmes of skill development, vocational education and technical education departments,” Indian Express quoted him saying. Further Adityanath also stated that recruitment will be done in a transparent manner to help the youth get jobs, while adding that government plans to take the figure to 10 lakh this year.
Adityanath also urged the youth of the state to capitalise on the opportunity to the maximum. In July, UP government had said that it has fixed a target to provide jobs to 70 lakh people in five years. The Bharatiya Janata Party-led government last month decided to end the process of holding interviews for selection of candidates for government jobs in all the non-gazetted posts of Group B, C and D categories, reported PTI.
Adityanath government had also asked several engineering colleges, which were on the verge of closure, to start diploma and certificate courses. On August 29, not just the UP CM announced about these courses, but also gave assurance that the government will provide jobs to 10 lakh youths in Uttar Pradesh having skills.
