In an incident that will shock humanity, a 22-year-old man allegedly slit his father’s throat to get a government job. You heard that right! According to The Hindustan Times, accused Tarun Pal was under intense pressure to get a government job and he claimed the life his father to get one. As per the report, Tarun Pal was desperate as his girlfriend had put the condition that she would marry him only if he had a government job. The victim, 57-year-old Chandra Pal was employed as a postman in the postal department.

City Superintendent of police Maan Singh Chauhan said that the victim’s body was found in a jungle near Kazmabad Goon village of Partapur on February 1. “His throat had been slit with a sharp-edged weapon. During the investigation, the activities of his son were found to be suspicious. He was taken into custody on Wednesday. During interrogation, he confessed to having killed his father with the help of a friend Sunny Kumar, 21,” Chauhan was quoted as saying by HT. As per the report, Tarun had appeared for the CRPF recruitment examination in 2016 and qualified in the written examination. But, he was rejected on the medical ground but kept lying that he has been selected. Now, to get a government job, he hatched a conspiracy to get a government job on dependent quota and hence, killed his father.

Chauhan said that Tarun sent his father to the field to take care of the crop and later, slit his throat with the help of Sunny, and then returned to the village. “Some villagers spotted the body and reported the incident to Partapur police,” Chauhan said. The police have recovered a set of CRPF uniform, a badge, monogram, two caps, two holsters, an identity card and the knife used in the murder. Like the Central government, state governments too have the provision to give a job to a family member in case of death of an employee during his service period.
