“Narendra Modi must not spread false info about BSP's work when we were in office. He can ask me if his people are unable to tell him,” she said. She claimed that in the remaining phases of Uttar Pradesh polls, BSP will be leading for sure. “We will form the government in UP with clear majority,” Mayawati insisted.

At an election rally in Harsaanv village near Ghaziabad, bordering the national capital, Mayawati urged the Muslim voters not to forget that it was under the Akhilesh Yadav government that the Muzaffarnagar riot and the Dadri lynching took place. Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of spreading false information about BSP’s work when the party was in office in Uttar Pradesh. “Narendra Modi must not spread false info about BSP’s work when we were in office. He can ask me if his people are unable to tell him,” she said. She claimed that in the remaining phases of Uttar Pradesh polls, BSP will be leading for sure. “We will form the government in UP with clear majority,” Mayawati insisted.

After viewing the polling trend in UP’s second phase of elections Mayawati said that her party will get majority especially due to the performance in the next phase. “Just like the first phase, the second phase of polling in 67 seats which took place today is a good indication that BSP is coming to power in UP with full majority,” she said in a statement.

Mayawati said that she will rather stand as an opposition than be an ally of the BJP, while addressing a rally in Kanpur on Wednesday. “BJP is spreading rumours through social media that BJP & BSP are going to form government together,” said Mayawati.

According to PTI she said, “Although leaders of parties like BJP and SP-Congress alliance are making tall claims of support coming their way, people only have faith on ‘tried and tested’ BSP leadership as they know she (Mayawati) believes in saying and doing the same thing and will fulfill the promise of ending ‘Jungleraj’ and bringing rule of law after coming to power.”

Yesterday Mayawati faced notices from Allahabad High Court for allegedly “manipulating” land records in parts of UP during her tenure as Chief Minister, along with other close relatives.
