Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today strongly condemned the remarks made by expelled BJP leader Dayashankar Singh against BSP supremo Mayawati.
“Any decent person will not make such comment,” Naik said in reply to a question during a press conference on the eve of completing two years in office.
He said, “Such utterance cannot be tolerated in a democracy and I strongly condemn the remarks.”
Singh had yesterday sparked an outrage by his derogatory comments against the former UP chief minister.
Taking a serious cognisance of Singh’s comment, BJP last night relieved him of all responsibilities and removed him from the post of party’s state unit vice president.
