Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Javed Ahmad took his colleagues and department by surprise when he got a Taser gun tested on him. Taser gun is an electroshock weapon that fires two small dart-like electrodes which deliver electric current to the the target. anyone who is struck by it, experiences over-simulation of sensory nerves, resulting in strong involuntary muscle contractions.
Tweeting about the braveheart, Indian Police Service (IPS) said, “Kudos to @Uppolice DGP @javeeddgpup for taking Taser shot on himself during a demo”.

Ahmad, who is said to have volunteered for it, in a conversation with Times of India said, “Taare dikhne lage (I saw stars),” after the weapon was tested on him. The video where the DGP was shot went viral on social media wherein Ahmad can be seen falling on the ground due to the impact of the gun. His colleagues can be seen helping him get back on his feet.
