Two students from Jaunpur's Maa Durgaji Senior Sec Vidyalaya's went missing since last 28 hours after principal allegedly beat them up and asked them to go home.
As the country is still shocked over the horrific murder of Ryan International School student in Gurugram, another incident of violence against children in school is making headlines. Two students from Jaunpur’s Maa Durgaji Senior Secondary Vidyalaya’s went missing since last 28 hours after principal allegedly beat them up and asked them to go home. According to ANI, the Principal of school had beaten them and asked them to go home from school at 12 pm but, the students are yet to reach their homes. When asked from the father of one of the missing students, he said, “When he did not return yesterday, I went to school in evening. They told me that they had asked both to go home at 12.” Mother of another child informed ANI that she will soon file an FIR regarding the same.
“If management beat up children and asked them to leave during school hours it’s wrong, will take action against it,” said District Inspector of schools, Jaunpur. However, the school management is yet to respond to the allegations levelled by the parents.
The incident comes weeks after a 7-year-old student was brutally murdered outside the Ryan International School in Haryana’s Gurugram on September 8. Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar had assured that there will be no leniency and the school management will be held accountable. The lawyer of victim’s family had stated that they would move the Supreme Court if CBI didn’t start the probe at the earliest.
According to the latest development in the case, three accused (bus conductor and 2 people from Ryan), who were earlier arrested by Haryana Police, have been sent to 1 day CBI custody. CEO and founders of the school have been issued a notice to appear for questioning on September 26.
