Amid an attempted military coup in Turkey, in which at least 161 people have died, 148 Indian athletes are stranded at Trabzon where they went to participate in World School Games.
External Affairs minister, Sushma Swaraj has said that the games are on and the players are safe.

Sports Ministry has said that the players are safe and that they are in touch with External Affairs ministry to ensure the safe return of the players.
